Yes… this is a free animation override!

What is an animation override?

Well, the easiest explanation is: it is an exchange of the most SL-given animations, when you walk around SL. SL gave your avatar all it needs for moving in SL. Walking, flying, jumping, falling, standing and lots more. But many residents don’t like these SL-given animations and want to change them. For example: little girls don’t like to walk like muppets, we more like to have something like a “jumpwalk”…
So it exist this (and other) Animation Overrider scripts, written by several good scripters (thanks to them!)
You will find these scripts in the most animation overriders and you will pay lots of Lindens for it. Sure… you do not pay for the script itself, because it’s free… you pay for the animations, which are often selfmade or bought. And they cost a lot when you need them in copy/transfer-mode.
The most important is the walking animation for kids. So we created an Animation Overrider for free and we give away this expensive animation for free to all who want it. But we have to give away the Animation Overrider as a “no transfer”-version, because of this walk-animation we bought for ourself. The Licence forces us to do so.

But we need your help: We have some poses in it, which are not the best for kids. And we hope you have some in your inventar, which are lots better. If you have some – and they are copy/transfer (important!!), so send it to me (DeniseHoorn Slade) and I will insert it to our free Animation Overrider. Thanx in advance.

But why is this AO free?

Well, I am a child-avatar for myself I spent lots of money for freebies… Sad I was a noob, was silly enough… and last but not least, I got more careful what I buy because lots of other kids helped me. Was ist ein Animation Overrider?

Nun, die einfachste Erklärung ist: es ist ein Austausch der von SL vorgegebenen Animationen, wenn Du durch SL gehst. SL gab Deinem Avatar alles, was es braucht, wenn es sich durch SL bewegt. Gehen, fliegen, springen, fallen, stehen und vieles mehr. Aber einige Einwohner von SL mögen diese vorgegebenen Animationen nicht und möchten sie ändern. Zum Beispiel mögen kleine Mädchen nicht laufen wie Muppets, wir mögen lieber den den Hüpfschritt…

So existiert dieses (und andere) Animation Overrider Skript, die von verschiedenen guten Scriptern (Danke an sie) geschrieben wurden. Du findest diese Skripte in den meisten Animation Overridern und Du zahlst viel Geld für sie. Klar… Du bezahlst nicht das Script selbst, denn das ist frei… Du bezahlst für die Animationen, die oft selbst gemacht ode gekauft worden sind. Und sie kosten viel, wenn Du sie in copy/transfer-mode brauchst.
Das wichtigste ist wohl die Laufanimation für uns Kinder. So haben wir diesen freien Animation Overrider gemacht und geben diese Animation an alle, die sie gerne hätten. Wir müssen aber den AO leider als “No Transfer”-Version abgeben, weil diese Animation zwar copy sein darf, aber eben “no transfer” und wir sie selbst gekauft haben. Die Lizenzbestimmungen zwingen uns dazu.

Aber wir brauchen auch Eure Hilfe: Wir haben ein paar Animationen da drin, die passen nicht so richtig zu Kindern. Und wir hoffen, Du hast ein paar in Deinem Inventar, die besser sind. Wenn Du welche hast – und sie copy/transfer (wichtig!!), dann sende sie mir (DeniseHoorn Slade) und ich werde sie unserem freien Animation Overrider hinzufügen. Danke im Voraus.

Aber warum ist dieses AO kostenlos?

Nun, ich bin selbst ein Kind-Avatar und hab viel Geld ausgegeben für Freebies… Sad Ich war ein Neuling und dumm genug, aber schließlich und endlich wurde ich vorsichtiger, weil mir viele andere Kinder geholfen haben. Nun bin ich dran, anderen zu helfen. Das ist mein Geschenk an alle (neuen) Kinder in SL. Ich hoffe, ihr mögt es.

I can’t. This AO is no transfer, because one of the walking animations (kids walk) is a commercial product we bought for this AO and was about 1200 Linden.

Using this animation is allowed under special conditions of a license for the creator, one is, that the animation will be not sold transfer, because it it’s copy/mod/transfer for the creator.

But if you remove one permission of an item in a combination of several items, so it affects the whole creation. Means: to remove the transfer-permission of this kids walk, means to remove the transfer-permission of the whole AO.

You can check it for yourself: if you remove the kids walk animation, you should be able to transfer it, but that makes the AO less interesting anymore for kids, because the kids walk is the reason why they like it.

And to give others the link to this AO here in at MetaLife should not be that problem, hm? Wink
